Job Summary:
The Quality Control Compliance Coordinator oversees all regulatory compliance issues related to mammography, including adherence to the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines. Ensures preparation of federal inspections and ACR accreditation, as well as coordinating tasks and documentation for Quality Assurance. Ensures the consistent production of high-quality mammographic exams and procedures to aid in medical diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention. In collaboration with the Manager, the Quality Control Mammographer communicates well with others, can prioritize tasks and acts as a mentor to junior staff and students as needed while providing quality in-services and instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees all regulatory compliance issues, including all aspects of the Mammography Quality Standards Act as it is defined by the FDA and ACR standards.
- Demonstrate high-level knowledge of protocols and equipment operation for quality control testing. Provide instruction and feedback to technologists
- Coaches, trains, and evaluates staff, monitors compliance and audits staff performance/
- Provides operational support in the absence of the site Manager or Supervisor.
- Provide training and guidance for the orientation of new staff and new exam protocols.
- Collaborate with Mammography Technologists, Physicians, RNs, Physicists, and Bio Med to ensure compliance with MQSA regulations.
- Provide QC resources and education to all mammography sites.
- Prepare, modify, and update all Quality control documentation forms for clinics.
- Perform frequent review of clinics' QC records through onsite visits to ensure MQSA compliance.
- Coordinate all annual inspections and required documentation by MQSA or ACR.
- Work with radiologists, managers, sales representatives, and purchasing to ensure cost-effective inventory management.
- Provide a quality-learning environment for technologists, patients, families, students, and coworkers.
- Contribute to staff meetings, organize in-services, conduct continuing education, and quality assurance work as required.

Education:
- High School Diploma
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology program.
Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
License and Certification:
- TMB - Certification by Texas Department of Health State Services as a Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT)
- ARRT - Advanced Registry in mammography
- BLS or CPR - Basic Life Support/ Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification
